Why am I potter?

While there are many reasons the most important one is that I have tremendous support from my husband, family and friends.

  • The love of my life and official Pottery Roadie, Gregory, who gives his encouragement and support … and doesn’t think that I am crazy for wanting to play with clay all day.
  • My mother, Marie, who first showed me the wonderful gift of clay straight from the earth; she’s always believed in me … no matter what I have wanted to be when I grow up.
  • Tiger, my sister, who not only encourages and inspires me but planted the very seed in my head that I could actually become a potter.
  • Terry Tessem, my friend and mentor, who would probably scoff if he ever read this, but I also consider him to be my pottery fairy godfather.
